Charlie Tobler put off college to become a farrier, shoeing horses for several years before deciding to go back to school. He earned 48 completely free college credits through Modern States and CLEP, part of an effort that allowed him to graduate from Thomas Edison State University in under one year.
Preet Patel, a 21-year-old pilot, passed 11 CLEP exams after studying with Modern States. He used the results as dual credit, graduating high school early through Florida’s College Acceleration Program while earning 33 college credits. The effort helped to shave four years off Preet’s education journey, jump-starting his career in the sky.
